#429 'The Edge of Winter', & Changing my Blog?

'The Edge of Winter' 40x50cm Oil on canvas

I have been thinking about my blog and have want to change the format of my posts.

At the moment I post every painting I do and have done that for 3 years. What I propose now is posting less often possibly once every two weeks. I will write about art topics, from equipment choices, painting techniques, exhibition reviews, art books I'm into, and more...

(You can also suggest any)

Each of these posts will have a painting I've completed during the two weeks.

I hope this will work, and I can keep it up for year, time will tell!

Please comment on this post or by email clare@clarebowen.co.uk to tell me if you like this idea or want to keep my previous way of posting?

It is hard for me to gauge how many people actually read my blog so any feedback gratefully received!

  1. It is quite easy to miss where one should make a comment as the text is very pale grey. Also I find I have to preview it first otherwise it doesn’t publish. I love seeing your paintings and to hear about the difficulties you have to overcome when painting en plein air. I think any art related topics you are willing to share would be very much appreciated.

    1. Thank you ebbybow, for your continued support and encouragement on my blog, very much appreciated :-) Clare

  2. I just want you to know that I read your blog and enjoy it very much. When I discovered your blog I went to the beginning and started reading every post. I haven't read all of them, but it's inspiring to see how you have developed as an artist. It's generous of you to take the time to share your journey and your process with us. Your paintings are refreshing, like the light that they capture. I'm commenting as "anonymous" because I don't know my google account number and I don't have a URL, as far as I know. Just know that I will be appreciating whatever you continue to share. Thank you!
