The VIDEO of how I painted #29 Bramley Apple

This is the video I shot yesterday while I was painting the Bramley Apple. It's just under 4 minutes long and shows me doing the painting from start to finish. (A speeded up version)

I've never done this before, one of my students encouraged me to try. I hope it gives a glimpse into how the painting developed. Let me know what you think of it!

I will be doing more painting videos. (With the help of my husbands editing skills :-)

  1. Just watched your video(with Mum's help!)
VERY impressive. Rolf Harris will have to look to his laurels--your speed leaves him at the post!
The shading around the stalk was absolutely (still) life-like.

  2. I found watching the way you handled and used the brush enlightening. Such a clear example of 'how to'. No amount of talking can teach like the visual demonstration. Thank you so much. Inspirational.

    1. Hi Fran thank you for commenting so glad it's helpful for your painting. I've never seen my brush 'at work' before and it surpised me all the different angles and movements I do with it. So it's good you noticed this too!
